First Post

Wow, so this is it, my first blog post. There are so many things I think I should or could write about, but I think I'll start by telling you a little bit about who I am and what this blog is all about...

First and foremost, I am a Christian. I love God with all my heart and I hope that like the Apostle James said, people will see my faith by my actions.

I am a wife and mother. My husband, Bill, is an extremely even keeled, patient man who puts up with all my "bright ideas" and loves me anyway. I have two beautiful little boys - Liam (3) and Henry (10 months). Those boys are my pride and joy; I love them dearly.

And now for the real reason this blog is here - I am a jewelry maker/artist/designer/one who tinkers with metal and beads. I'll give you the full background on starting Sela Designs in a later post. The important part is that all profit from the sale of my jewelry is donated to charity. I really like supporting charities that benefit orphans and people in dire poverty. I have a soft spot for orphans - we should always remember to take care of the orphans and widows. I want to give my readers some insight into the world of creating jewelry and why I do what I do.

That's it, nothing fancy, just me in a very real giving you a glimpse into the life of one woman who is passionate about loving the uncommon. Join me, won't you?
